In any country and in any age, a hero rises from among the people to fight for their freedom. Then nothing can thwart their daring, success is but certain to crown their efforts and bravery.

Randhirsinh, the King of Narpatgadh was dethroned by Indrasinh after a battle in which the latter had played foul and disgraced the Rajput Chivalry. The King had to leave the capital and run for immediate safety. It served the ends of Indrasinh to declare that the King was no longer alive. And it came to the lot of the king to lose his queen and young prince and to seek shelter amidst rocks and caves and to live under an assumed name. Years rolled on and hope to regain the throne was gradually receding back.

Then it happened that the Princess of Narpatgadh was returning from a near relation when some high-way robbers under the leadership of Sumersinh attacked the guards. At this juncture, Jang Bahadur who was gathering a band of brave and loyal persons to fight against Indrasinh, came to know of the Cowardly attack of Summersinh on the princess.He rushed at once and crossed his sword with Sumersinh. He gave his own horse to the princess to run away, but in the end, he was defeated and brought as a captive in the camp before their leader Mansing.

The leader becoming suspicious challenged Jang Bahadur to a fight. But during the fight, Mansing was surprised to see the shield of Jung Bahadur bearing the crest of royalty. At once the mystery was dissolved and the old King Randhirsinh met Jang Bahadur his own prince whom he had lost some years back. The King became more happy when he realized the plans of his son to free the people from the oppressions of the usurper.

Prince Jang Bahadur during one of his freedom operations, stayed at the house of one of his trusted lieutenants, Bhimaji Naik. His daughter Laxmi was so much influenced by patriotic feeling that she agreed to marry an old jagirdar and thus win sufficient funds to gain victory. Such great was the sacrifice made by an affectionate sister for her new brother.

Princess Chandra had by this time came to relies how noble was Jang Bahadur and her love had begun to flow to him. But Sumersinh was watchful of this development and he could not get reconciled to it. He kept on throwing thorns in the path of Jang Bahadur.

Then, the people matched their forces at the fort of Narpatgadh under the able command of Jang Bahadur. The King, who was in captivity here was courageously saved and Sumersinh was fatally done with by Laxmi. Jang Bahadur becomes victorious and was enthroned as the new king amidst great joy of the people.
